Beyond the hive count
The policy was adopted December 31, 2024.
The named practices also include maintenance, harvest and marketing.
Lampasas' 2025 policy requires six colonies on the first five acres and another hive for each additional 2.5 acres. Its listed management practices include maintaining hive structures, monitoring bee health, supplemental feeding, pest control, harvesting, and marketing products.32
Use those activities to organize the year's actual service notes and receipts. A Lampasas record packet should make maintenance and management visible alongside the count, rather than relying on a photo of the hive boxes alone.
